When the hospital was mentioned in the story, I thought “Is she talking about MY hospital in Philly?” and then low and behold, the little boy in the story took me right back to the place where I used to play as a kid on several occasions. That makes the story much more heart wrenching because I’ve actually not only been to the very places that he has but can also understand gave Joseph a sense of hope in helping someone close to his heart.
